Another 30 minutes up the road, Bear Valley is Highway 4's resort destination, with world-class skiing on Mt. Reba, restaurants, horseback riding, rental cabins, and a week-long summer music festival. Stop at the forest ranger station a few miles past town to get info and permits for high country camping.
