Continue up Highway 4 to Arnold, the gateway to the high Sierras (and cooler weather!), with golf courses set among towering sequoias. A few miles past Arnold is Big Trees State Park. Big Trees is the high mountain sister to the Bay Area's Muir Woods, with easy trails and camping among the green giants.
