Angel's Camp to Murphys
Angel's Camp was immortalized in Mark Twain's "The Celebrated Jumping Frog of Calaveras County". They still hold the frog jump every May at the Calaveras County Fair. Another fifteen minutes up the road is Murphys, the heart of foothill wine country. Downtown Murphys has an Old West charm, with several wineries within walking distance.
