Court Guide: Noe Valley

Where: Noe Valley
Cost: None

Condition: Good
Average wait time: 5 minutes
Windscreens: No
Lights: No

Located at the corner of 24th and Douglass streets, the Noe Valley Court features a quality playing surface free of cracks or worn patches. And although the net has obviously been used for a long, long time it is still in reasonably good shape.

A lack of wind screens creates a challenging environment when the wind is really gusting. The wind does helps keep the courts relatively dust and leaf free, though.

This small, one-court neighborhood park appeals to the players who prefer a quiet atmosphere over the hustle and bustle of the larger three and four court parks. A basketball court lies perpendicular to the tennis court but the two are separated by a fence. There is also a large grass area next to the court perfect for lounging around while waiting for next. If there is a wait it is usually minimal.

The park has a hitting wall, but no lights.
