Average wait time: Medium
Windscreens: Yes

The George Moscone Recreation Center found between Chestnut and Bay Street offers four popular courts frequented by the wealthy marina set. In other words, some of the regular players feel (and act) as if this public court is their own private club.

If you don’t mind a little attitude this is a great place to play. Both sets of courts, two on the east side of the park and two behind the Marina Branch Library, are in decent shape and have windscreens. They could almost always use a brushing.

There is a practice wall but if there is a line for the courts you must be sitting on the spectator bench to hold your place. There is almost always a wait in the evenings and on weekends. Bring a basketball, a volleyball and your softball glove because this park has it all.

These courts are lighted.
