Notes: Great for kids

Located on 26th and Douglass streets, this one court facility known as Douglass Park screams broken ankle. The tennis court is covered with dust, leaves and other debris perfect for slipping on. The playing surface has only a few cracks but several uneven sections.

A full-court basketball court runs next to the tennis court with no fence to separate the two courts.

Although this is probably not the nicest court in the city it is perfect for when you want to bring the kids along. This park feels more like a preschool than a city park. As you approach the park you will notice a sign on the gate that asks you to please close the gate behind you. That’s to keep the numerous toddlers playing in the area from wandering out onto the street when their parents aren’t looking.
