Bay Area Skate Spots: Marina Green
San Francisco Skate Spots:
Golden Gate Park | Lake Merced

Marina Green

Skating around the Marina can get crowded on a sunny weekend afternoon, but may well be worthwhile for the great sights: the people, the kites, the Golden Gate Bridge, Alcatraz , etc. Take the trail to the Bridge for exercise or discover many excellent nearby sites for shorter more playful skates.

Distance:
5+ miles to the GGB and back

Recommended For:
All

Route:
Starting at Marina Green, skate west through the parking lot at Crissy Field to Fort Point, through the rough parking lot to get to the path that leads just south of the Golden Gate Bridge.

Notes:
Also check out the smooth sidewalks of the Palace of Fine Arts, Fort Mason just east of the Marina Green and Chestnut Street, south of the Marina, a popular location for coffee and juice. An array of smooth paths in this area makes this an excellent spots for exercise, slalom, tricks or touring.
