Alta Plaza Park
Clay street
San Francisco, CA

This park is bordered by Jackson, Clay, Steiner and Scott streets. It is across from the tennis courts. The first Sunday of every month is Pug Day at this dog park! It's a casual meeting of pug owners which takes place at the north end of park, usually between 3:30 - 5:00, weather permitting. At the gathering, there can be 20-50 pugs!

Baker Beach

image This dog-friendly beach in the Golden Gate National Recreation Area has a great view of the Golden Gate Bridge! Your dog can run off-leash at this beach as long as he or she is under voice control. The beach is located approx. 1.5 to 2 miles south of the Golden Gate Bridge. From Lincoln Avenue, turn onto Bowley Street and head towards the ocean. There will be a parking lot next to the beach.
