Hole #1 Say hello to the toughest opening hole in Northern California. This straight uphill, 400-yard-plus behemoth plays about 480. It used to be a par-5 and still should be.
At least that's what you'll be thinking when you tee off. Hopefully, you're one of those golfers that can hit a good one fresh out of the box.
Remember to keep the ball on the left side of the fairway because the sidehill cut of the hole will feed it down to level ground on the right side.
It's a great second shot to get it up over the steep upgrade and land it on the perched, hidden green. Even for a big hitter from the whites, you might need a 240-yard bomb to get there.
A par here is a significant achievement.
