This classic ride is a beautiful and challenging trip that will leave you exhilarated and, yes, tired. But the panoramic views are not to be missed.
Starting from the north end of Sausalito, this spectacular ride takes you up through the eucalyptus forests and then north towards Mt Tam, over the southern shoulder of the mountain, down the thrilling descent to Stinson Beach, then back down the coast and over to Muir Woods, ending with the final climb back up to Four Corners and home.
Special note: This ride does follow some very narrow roads and traffic has increased greatly lately. So if you don't feel comfortable riding very close to cars and sheer cliffs, you might want to try something a little easier.
