Calaveras Road Loop turn-by-turn mileagelog

0.0 Start in Sunol, just off of Interstate 680. There is a small grocery store if you need supplies. Follow Highway 84 east back under the interstate and past the nurseries. Calaveras Road begins just after you pass under 680.

After a few miles, the road will start to climb and it will continue to climb, with a few breaks for the next 10 miles. The climbing is very gradual and the Elevation gained is only about 1000 feet. On your left you'll see Calaveras Resevoir as you get near the top of the climb.

14.8 After reaching the top of the climb, you will start down a steep descent. After about a quarter mile there is a stop sign. Turn right and continue descending down towards Milpitas. The descent isn't too tricky, but the pavement is rough in spots so caution is advised.

17.6 Turn right on Evans Road.

18.2 At this point, the road changes name to North Park Victoria Blvd

20.4 Turn left on Scott Creek Road and cross under Interstage 680 again.

21.3 Turn right on Warm Springs Road.

23.3 Turn right on Mission Blvd. In about a half mile you will cross under Interstage 680 AGAIN.

30.7 Turn right and head up Niles Canyon Road. This road can get a little busy, so be careful. Of course, while you're on Mission Blvd, on your way to Niles Canyon Road, you get to pass under Interstate 680 again.

37 After making your way up Niles Canyon Road, you're back where you started.
