Mile 0.0 - Start at the map station in the end of the parking lot. Turn left on Stevens Canyon Road. Mile 0.38 - Turn right on Montebello Road. Start climbing. Mile 5.74 - End of the pavement. Go around the brown gatepost marked "MB09". Start climbing up the gentle slope on the dirt road. Mile 7.55 - Go left towards Indian Creek Trail at the Y. This trail has new water diversions on it. Mile 8.82 - Go left on Canyon Trial towards Steven Canyon Road at the Y. Mile 11.23 - Continue left onto Canyon Trail at the Y. This is singletrack through the trees. Watch out for poison oak, as the branches are constantly whacking you in the arms and legs. Mile 12.03 - Exit Monte Bello OSP by carrying bike over the tree logs. Continue straight. Mile 12.49 - Hit the paved road and continue straight. It is all paved back to the trailhead now. Mile 12.65 - Go around the green gate. Continue straight. Mile 16.23 - Turn left onto Mt Eden Road at the T. There are a couple of small hills to be climbed on this road. Mile 17.66 - The road turns to the right. Montebello Road appears straight ahead. Stay with Mt. Eden Road. Mile 18.09 - End of ride.
