East Peak Loop Location: Marin County
Category: Dirt ride
Distance: 11.82 Miles
Elevation Gain/Loss: 2900 ft.
Difficulty: Moderate
Riding Time: 1¼ - 1¾ Hour
Directions

Description
Located in the Mt. Tamalpias Watershed, this is a great workout ride that climbs from the bottom of Mt. Tamalpias to near the top of East Peak (you can continue up the paved road to the top, if you like). It is a solid climb to the highest point with little to no breaks, then all downhill for 6 miles. The climb up is gradual and on a nice fireroad, but most of the downhill is rocky and a lot of fun.
