Mile 0.0 - Start down the Briones Crest Trail. Mile 0.07 - At the Y, go right and start climbing the really steep singletrack. The next half mile is extremely steep and quite a grind. Pop it in granny gear and go, man, go! Mile 0.32 - Top of the second steep hill. Go through closed gate. Mile 0.54 - Top of the third set of hills. This is the end of the hard grind upward. Go through another closed gate. Mile 3.56 - Turn right on Old Briones Road. Mile 3.66 - Turn left on Briones Crest Trail. Mile 6.23 - Turn right on Homestead Valley Trail and go through the gate.
The trail starts off somewhat steep and fast, but soon levels off some, but is still downhill. Mile 7.40 - Go thought closed gate. Mile 7.74 - Turn right on Old Briones Road. This road climbs pretty easily to Briones Crest Trail. Mile 9.31 - Turn right on Briones Crest Trail. Mile 10.09 - Go straight on trail to Table Top Trail. Mile 10.12 - Go though closed gate. Go straight onto Table Top Trail Mile 10.83 - Turn right, go through closed gate, and remain on Table Top Trail. Mile 10.89 - Merge into Briones Crest Trail. Go straight. Mile 11.29 - Turn right on Crescent Ridge Trail. This trail is practically all downhill with steep downhill at the end as you pass by the Archery Range. Mile 12.69 - Turn right on Homestead Valley Trail. Mile 12.89 - Go though closed gate. Mile 13.17 - Merge into Old Briones Road. Mile 13.30 - Go around gate and pass upper parking lot. Mile 13.41 - At the kiosk, turn right into the lower parking lot. Mile 13.51 - End of ride.
