Difficulty: Very Strenuous
Riding Time: 1¾ - 2¼ Hours
Directions

Description
Located in Sugarloaf Ridge State Park, near Kenwood, CA, this is a workout ride all on fireroads and a paved road. After the first half mile, the trail becomes paved and steep ... quite steep. Not only must you be in good shape to climb this mountain, your endurance must also be high, but the amazing views from the top make it entirely worth it. The ride down the back side toward the old ranch is fun, but the climb out is a bear. This is an exhausting ride that should only be attempted if you are ready to sweat!

Turn-by-turn mileage log

Directions
In Santa Rosa, from Highway 101, take Highway 12. When the freeway section ends (about 1½ miles), turn left at the light onto Farmers Lane (this is still Hwy 12). Go about 1 miles and turn right on Fourth (this is also still Hwy 12). Go a about 10 miles and turn left on Adobe Canyon Rd. Follow to Sugarloaf Ridge State Park. The kiosk is about a mile inside the park border. Go past the kiosk and park in the parking lot on the left. If no one is in the kiosk, you don't have to pay the 2 dollar fee. The trailhead is the beginning of fireroad directly below the parking lot toward the kiosk.
