North Bay: Angel Island Double Loop
by Conan Tigard
BayInsider contributor

Angel Island Double Loop Location: Marin County
Category: Dirt ride
Distance: 9.74 Miles
Elevation Gain/Loss: 1700 ft.
Difficulty: Moderate
Riding Time: 1 - 1½ Hours
Directions

Description
Half of this ride is on a paved road while the other half is on a fireroad. There is only one big hill to struggle up on the paved road, and it's a doozy. Other then that hill, the ride is pretty easy with only a few small hills. There are a lot of things to see and do on this ride, like walking through the old hospital, exploring the chapel and checking out the old fort.

They leave on the hour starting at 10 AM and return at 20 minutes after the hour. The trailhead is where the two maps of the island are and the two small gift shops.
